Faculty

Mrs. Anderson has had the  great pleasure of  teaching  general music and chorus at the Gordon Mitchell School since 2013.  Mrs. Anderson earned her Bachelor's Degree from North Park University (in Chicago) and got her Master's Degree in teaching music from Bridgewater State University.  Before teaching at GWMMS, Mrs. Anderson lived and worked in NYC as an opera singer, singing professionally with many NY institutions.  

Besides making music, Mrs. Anderson enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.  She lives in Easton with her husband Bill,  children Ava and John and dog Tucker.  

Isabelle Swanton is a sixth year teacher from Cape Cod, MA. Isabelle got her degree in Music Education from UMass Amherst in 2020. Before coming here, she taught General Music, Chorus, Band, and Marching Band for two years in New Bedford. She recently completed her Master's Degree in Music Education through the American Band College of Central Washington University.  During her first year at Mitchell, she started the Mitchell Jazz Band. She is also an Assistant Director for the East Bridgewater Viking Marching Band.

On her days off you can find Mrs. Swanton playing the flute, crocheting in her home in New Bedford.
