Dear Families
It has been a very busy half term with children highly engaged in their learning and managing statutory assessments in Y2 and Y6. I am so proud of our whole school community for everything that has been achieved!
This week our children in KS1 went to visit a Synagogue in Leeds. The members of the Synagogue community were so impressed by the level of knowledge our children had and how well they could articulate that to them. I felt so proud observing how well the children behaved and shared their knowledge.
I would like to thank all of the staff in school for everything that they have done and continue to do to enhance the children's experience, without their dedication and commitment our children would not get the breadth of experience we can offer them.
I hope all of our families have a wonderful half term break and enjoy some much needed sunshine!
I look forward to welcoming you back to school on Monday 5th June
Best wishes
Mrs. Winter

Dates to remember
16 June: non-uniform day: bring a bottle for the bottle tombola
28/29 June: bring any unwanted books, toys and games
30 June – Summer Fayre Day!
The FOSHA Committee are busy planning our Summer Fayre for 30th June.
We’re going to have lots of stalls, games, food and rides, it’s going to be a wonderful afternoon! We’re also having a bar, so bring your picnic blankets too!
We need some help from our community to make it amazing, we’d really appreciate your support.
We need raffle prizes, so if you run a business or work somewhere that has something, we’d be very grateful.
We’re having a bottle tombola which is always really popular. On 16 June, your child can come in non-uniform in exchange for a bottle of anything! Wine, washing-up liquid, perfume or water. Anything liquid!
There will also be a toy and book stall, so if you’re having a clear out please keep your good quality books, toys and games (with all the pieces please!) and we’ll take them from you the week of the fayre.
More than anything, we need some of your time. To make sure we can run everything, we need people to run stalls, help set up and clear away at the end. There aren’t enough of us and no-one turned up to the coffee morning to volunteer, but if you can spare half an hour on the day we’d be very grateful. You can email fosh.chair@ebor.academy or speak to one of the committee.
Thank you!
