STAYNOR HALL ACADEMY NEWSLETTER
Friday 18th July 2025
Dear Families
As this academic year ends, we're filled with pride for our amazing children. What a year it's been! We've seen incredible growth, Staynor Hall's school values being lived out everyday and countless moments of joy. We're so proud of everything your children have achieved – tackling challenges, developing skills, and growing into confident, compassionate individuals. Each child has brought something special to our school, and it's been a privilege to be part of their journey this academic year.
A huge thank you to you, our wonderful parents and carers. Your support, whether it's helping with homework or supporting with school events throughout the year, has been invaluable. A strong home-school partnership truly makes all the difference and we sincerely thank you for this.
Naturally, the end of term is often a time that staff consider changes and so we are saying goodbye to Mr Metcalfe and Miss Fawcett (for now) and we also say goodbye to Miss Chugg and Mrs Griffin. Miss Chugg is leaving us to go and work at Hob Moor Oaks Academy and Mrs Griffin will be working at Camblesforth Primary from September, both schools are part of Ebor Academy Trust. We thank both Miss Chugg and Mrs Griffin for everything they have done for us at Staynor Hall and we wish them all the very best in their new roles.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Marshall for everything she has brought to our school this year in realtion to music. Unfortunately Mrs Marshall will not be with us next year as she is going to be training to qualify as a secondary school music teacher. Mrs Lazenby will be taking over the leadership of music in school. We are truly grateful for the opportunities we have had and we will be looking to build on the music we have had in school this year and continue the good work of Mrs Marshall.
To our children and families moving on, we wish you the very best in your new adventures and hope you'll cherish your all of the memories you have created whilst being with us at Staynor Hall. For all of our families returning, we can't wait to welcome you back on 2nd September for another exciting year!
We wish you all a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break!
Have a lovely weekend, with very best wishes
Mrs Winter
If you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a child in school please contact myself,
Mr Metcalfe or Mrs Danbury who are the safeguarding leads.
Please can we ask that your child does not ride their bikes or scooters on the school grounds.
Children are not play on the wooden trim trail before and after school.
Children are not play football on the field and playground before or after school.
As the school continues to grow the playground is getting busier and busier and it is important we keep everyone safe.
We would also like to encourage parents and children to not cross roads where visibility is reduced to ensure that roads are clear before crossing.

Dear Parents and carers,
I hope you have all have a wonderful summer holiday and that those children who are returning next year are excited and ready to come back to school in September for a new academic year. I also want to wish the best of luck to our current Y6 cohort as they leave primary school behind for new adventures in secondary school. We recognise that the summer holidays can seem a long time for families without the routine of primary school and for many it can be a time where we worry about how we can keep the children entertained without spending huge amounts of money! I have shared below a list of numbers and contacts who are there to offer support in different ways.
Lastly I wanted to share that I have greatly enjoyed my time here at Staynor Hall Primary and am sad to be leaving all the amazing children alongside the wonderful group of staff we have here in this school. I have been privileged to work in this school alongside; fantastic, amazing and brilliant children, staff who care deeply about each and every child and parents and carers who support their children to come to school to learn, play, laugh and develop every single day.
Have an amazing summer!

Arbor will replace Parent Hub & Parent Pay
Dear Parent/Carer,
On 22nd July 2025 ParentPay and ParentHub will no longer be available as we have come to the end of the contract.
We will be replacing all functions with Arbor which can be accessed either through the mobile or tablet app or through the portal on your laptop or computer.
To be able to use Arbor for Payments, you will need to set up your Arbor account. Emails have recently been shared. If you haven't already registered, please do so as soon as possible.
Miss Johnson and Mrs Foster in our school office have undergone training on this new Arbor platform and will be more than happy to help you with it.
You will be able to access payments on Arbor from 23rd July 2025. Any credits and/or debits on ParentPay will be transferred to Arbor - this is a manual process, so it may take some weeks for this to show on Arbor.
