FAQ

Q1 Registration open date?

A1 July 29th on schedule for Japanese participants. Regarding Overseas participants ,please wait for announcement of SVS and ESVS.

Q2 Is International shipping available? Can I get the simulator in my country?

A2 Absolutely YES!. But, we need your support on CUSTOM PROCESS. The difficulties of Custom clearance is depends on each country's policy.

Q3 How many seats available?

A3 16 seats available. First come first served basis.

Q4 How can I pay my registration fee?

A4 Please fill out the information on the registration form. You will receive an auto-reply with a link to pay by credit card. Please access and complete the payment.

Q5 How can I use the TM3 simulator?

A5 Check tutorial movie. Click here.

Q6 Are there any requirements for participation?

A6 Yes. For Japanese participants, There are some requirements as below. For Overseas participants, please check announcement of SVS and ESVS.

Conditions of Participation (For Japanese participants)

1) Vascular surgeon between 5 and 12 years post-graduation

2) Member of the Japanese Society of Vascular Surgery

3) Experienced distal bypass surgeon or assistant surgeon

4) Finalists must obtain a video recommendation message from their supervisor at their institution

　*Please note that Gold medalists of the 1st DBOG are not allowed to participate.

２）日本血管外科学会会員であること

３）distal bypass手術の術者または助手の経験を有すること

４）決勝戦進出者は所属施設の上司から推薦メッセージ動画を得ること

Q7: I participated in the first DBO and have the kit, can I reduce the entry fee?

A8: The kit has been upgraded this time, so you need to use the new one as other competitors. No reduction is possible.

Q8: I received a silver medal for the 1st DBO. Can I participate?

A8: You can participate except for the Gold medal. Please try to achieve a better color than the color of your previous medal.

Q9: I am a mainly aiming at coronary artery surgery. can I participate?

A9: If you are NOT aiming to become a distal bypass surgeon in the future, we kindly ask you to refrain from participating in the Distal bypass Competition, as it will the narrow selection of one or two finalists. We encourage you to attend the Competition in Coronary Artery.

Q10: I cannot predict my work schedule for November 12, but I would like to participate.

A10: Please consult with your supervisor and make sure that you will be able to participate in the finals on November 12, before applying.

2022-07-29 As of 5:30 p.m., there are applications for 11 of the 16 Japanese slots. The application will be closed as soon as it reaches the maximum number.

2022-08-19 Simulators have been shipped to Japanese participants.Shipping for overseas participants will begin on August 22.
