About Me

Hi there! My name is Ali Schroeder. This is my 19th year as a classroom teacher. I love this age and what I teach! I grew up in this area graduating high school from Odebolt-Arthur in 2000. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I had many great influences to look up to while in school especially in my parents. I am the oldest of 4 and enjoyed playing many sports. I married my high school sweetheart, Kevin, in 2001 then graduated from UNI in 2005, with my teaching certification, all while having our children. We have been married for 24 years and have raised 3 kids. Kevin is a grain farmer and cares for livestock. We live on a farm outside of Lake View. Our oldest daughter, Kylie, graduated from Iowa State with a Marketing degree and got married to her husband, Kurt. They welcomed their first child, Lainey, this past last year and are having another child next month. Our second daughter, Emma, just graduated from Iowa State with her Early Child Education certification and is in the middle of her student teaching. She is also planning her wedding with with her fiance, Caleb, and are finding new hobbies to do together. Our son, Logan, is attending Iowa Central to Major in Ag. Business. He enjoys weight lighting and spending time with his friends. I am not sure where these years went, but I enjoyed many years of coaching my children's various sports, traveling, and building many memories with them on and off of the farm. Now, we are excited to be empty nesters and are embracing our next stage of life as grandparents!
