Personal Visits
A certified Parent Educator trained in child development and home visiting will come to your home. She will share age-appropriate child development and parenting information, help you learn to observe your child, and address your parenting concerns. The educators help you understand each stage of your child's development and offer practical tips on ways to encourage learning.
Group Connections
Group Connections are opportunities to learn and share information about parenting issues and child development. Parents learn from and support each other, observe their children with other children, and have fun! Check the Calendar page for the schedule of events being offered. These fun and educational events are open to anyone who lives within the East Prairie School District. They are for families with children birth to preschool entry.
Developmental Screenings
Screenings provide opportunities to assess your child's overall development, social/emotional behaviors, language, hearing, and vision. They provide information on how your child is meeting developmental milestones and what skills to expect next. The goal is to provide a clear understanding of your child’s growth and development. Screenings are administered by Parent Educators.
Screenings we offer:
*ASQ-3, Ages & Stages Questionnaire: Full developmental screening for children 3-35 months, administered in your home
*ASQ:SE-2, Ages and Stages Questionnaire : Social/Emotional: ASQ:SE-2 is designed to exclusively screen for social and emotional behaviors outside a young child's typical ups and downs
