Kouts Elementary Science Fair:
Science Rocks!
Family viewing for this year's science fair will take place on Wednesday, November 6th from 6 to 7 pm.
Not accepting Applications at this time.
The Kouts Science Fair is open to students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Grades 4 and 5 are required to participate as part of their science grade, but the student may choose to do the project individually or with a partner. In addition, anyone who participates can choose to complete the project with his or her family as well.
Once you have decided on a project idea, fill out an application form. If you need inspiration for your project, you can use the video here to get some ideas. All participants must have their own signed application (i.e. if you work with a partner, you both need to submit an application). Applications should be returned to the student's teacher on or before Oct. 2024.
After completing your experiment, you will create a display board including the 5 elements of the scientific method (problem, hypothesis, procedure, results, conclusion). Your board should be no larger than no larger than 24" by 36". Make sure you have a title for your project as well as your name(s) on the board. Using visual aids like photos or models are encouraged.
The boards will be set up in the Kouts Elementary School hallway for you to share your project with the students and staff. Table assignments will be sent home with students on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 by their teacher. Family viewing will take place on Wednesday, November 6th, from 6 to 7pm in the elementary.
