Hello! My name is Mrs. Exaros, and I am excited for another year of fourth grade! This is my tenth year in education, and my sixth year at Shoemaker Elementary. I have also taught fourth grade at Macungie and Lincoln Elementary Schools, and I absolutely LOVE fourth grade! I graduated from Penn State University (We Are!!!) in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education, as well as a minor in dance. I also received my Master's Degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University in 2014. I live with my husband, Scott, daughter, Ellie, and lovable puppy, Zoey!
In my spare time, I like to read, listen to music, workout, shop, go out to eat, and spend time with family and friends. A few of my favorite things include the beach, coffee, dark chocolate covered pretzels, cheese, and post-it notes. :o) I especially love playing and snuggling with Ellie and Zoey. They bring many smiles and lots of laughter to my days! I also LOVE to dance, and I currently teach competitive tap at a local dance studio. I cannot wait to spend this year getting to know THE EXAROS EXTREME TEAM!!!
Welcome! It is a pleasure to be your child's teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. Our theme this year is TEAM MCGLONE: WHAT'S YOUR SUPERPOWER? Each of us has great potential and our "powers" are given to us to be shared. It is my job to educate each child, not only sharing curriculum, but also to guide, inspire and challenge him/her to achieve his/her full potential. These things have always been my goals, but this year I am also adding in more choice for your child. We will have flexible seating within the classroom, and I have added a page on my website to help answer any questions.
I am married to my husband, Kevin, and I'm a mother of two children, Sean (15) and Meagan (almost 13), stepmother of 2 adult children, and a grandmother of 2 little angels. Jack is 4, and Zoe is 2. Also, we have a yellow lab, Dana, who is a sweet girl who loves to chase balls and squirrels. They all keep me busy, and most of all, I love spending time with them and watching them grow and take part in several activities. My favorite place to go with them is the beach. I always am amazed at how I come back so relaxed and ready to take on the world:)
I have a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood from Marywood University. My Master's Degree is from Virginia Commonwealth University in Administration and Supervision. I am always learning new things and taking workshops and classes. I am so excited to put my new learning into use each year, and some of you may notice that my website is new and updated using Google Sites. I just completed my 30th year in education, and have been named one of the Head Teachers this year. Although I have a great deal of experience, I believe strongly in keeping up and implementing new ideas and always moving forward. I'm overjoyed to work with an incredible, hard-working administrator, and so many amazing teachers and staff at Shoemaker.
I am so excited to begin this new adventure with your child and your family. Here's to a great year!
Welcome to Fourth Grade! My name is Mrs. Shreck, and I am so excited to learn and grow with you this year in Room 44!
I have spent the last ten years in education. During that time, I have taught both second grade and fifth grade. I am thrilled to begin a new adventure this year with you in fourth grade! I graduated in 2008 from Kutztown University with my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading. In 2012, I earned my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology with a concentration in digital classroom technology from KU. Since then, I have have earned an additional 36 credits to continue to stretch myself and grow as a teacher.
Mr. Shreck and I just celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary this summer! We live with our very energetic and fun-loving toddler, Jonathan, and our crazy and sweet lab mix, Ellie, in beautiful Emmaus.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crafting, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. I love the beach, the color hot pink, all things Beauty and the Beast, and nothing beats a fresh cup of morning coffee! I also LOVE to travel! Mr. Shreck and I have been on some pretty neat trips over the past several years exploring our great nation! From historic Boston to scenic Kauai, to crossing the country and conquering all of Route 66, I can't wait to bring some of these experiences alive to Room 44!
I am looking forward to learning all about you this year and helping you reach your full potential as a fourth grader!
Hi Team 45 - Coach Cleff here! I'm so excited to have you in my classroom this year. I've been in education for 36 years and have been here as part of the Shoemaker family for the past 12 years. I come from a family of teachers. My grandmother was a Physical Education teacher and I actually had my mom (in second grade) and my uncle (in fifth grade) as my classroom teachers! My favorite subject to teach is reading, but I really enjoy math too!
Mr. Cleff and I have one son, Dan, who manages the Box Office for the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, NY- very cool for a guy who likes sports and concerts. In my spare time I love to read, visit the beach and work in my garden.
I look forward to seeing you in August!
Hi Team 46! I'm Coach Kling and I can't wait to begin a year of learning with you and our class! I graduated from Kutztown University with my degree in Elementary Education in 2011, and I completed my Master's degree from Penn State University. I absolutely love teaching and being a part of the Shoemaker family!
I currently live in East Texas, Pennsylvania, but I have also lived in Philadelphia, Florida, Puerto Rico, and several towns in PA: Macungie, North Wales, Harrisburg, Skippack, and Malvern. I love to travel and I love, love, LOVE reading! We will share amazing books and stories together this year. I am passionate about football (Go Eagles!!), fitness, and food. I love to do anything outdoors, but I try to stay away from bugs! Life has many adventures, and exploring and trying new things is important to me. Carpe diem! I can't wait to meet each of you, learn about what YOU love, and start building our classroom team. We will have a fantastic year full of learning and fun!
Go Team 46!
