Will a referral stay on my child's "permanent" record?

The only behaviors that stay on a child's permanent record are those that include an arrestable offense.

Will I receive a phone call regarding my child's behavior?

LMMS has procedures that will be followed with all students in grades 6-8. If teachers or staff have met with your child and the behaviors continue, there may be contact made with parents from the teachers, team leader, or other staff members. Here is a flowchart that illustrates the procedure.

Will my child receive a referral for every infraction?

We recognize that all students make mistakes. Our philosophy is to teach the expected behaviors, remind students and reteach when necessary, and have personal conversations with kids. If behaviors continue after repeated conversations and reteaching, then students may receive an office referral. Major infractions will result in immediate referrals and could result in disciplinary actions as per our East Penn School District Discipline Code.
