Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am very excited to work with you throughout the year!
My name is Miss Eshbach. Students can call me Miss Eshbach, Miss Esh, or Miss E. This is my 3rd year teaching at Eyer. Outlined below are some details about Math Course 3 and Honors Algebra 2 that will be useful in supporting each student.
Math Course 3
Materials
Each student should have access the following:
Pencils
A folder and notebook OR a binder with filler paper
A calculator
We ask that students have a TI-34 multi-view (or similar) calculator.
Amazon has TI-34 multi-views for less than $30.
If you are unable to provide any of these items, please let me know.
Books/Programs
Students will use the Ready book, which comes in two volumes.
Students will receive Volume 1 during the first or second week of school.
Students will receive Volume 2 at a later date.
Students will use i-Ready.
Students are expected to complete two lessons per week, according to the schedule found on Schoology (or below).
Students will be given 20 minutes during 9th period on Mondays & Wednesdays to work toward passing their required weekly lessons.
Students will use Reflex.
Students will be given 20 minutes during 9th period on Fridays to work on Reflex.
Homework
Students will be assigned homework most nights.
Homework will:
be graded.
be accepted until the assessment for the topic.
be completed using DeltaMath.
usually be 2-5 problems.
be found in the “Homework” folder on Schoology.
The name of each homework assignment will be the date it was assigned (ex. “8-26 HW”).
Absences
In the event that a student is absent, students are expected to check-in with me and make up missed work.
Students can look at the Course Calendar on Schoology (or below) to see what we did in class each day, and view the resources that we used and/or any work that was assigned.
Algebra 2 Honors
Materials
Each student should have access the following:
Pencils
A binder with filler paper OR a folder and notebook
A calculator
We ask that students have a TI-34 multi-view (or similar) calculator.
Amazon has TI-34 multi-views for less than $30.
We will occasionally work with TI-84s, but students are not required to have their own.
If you are unable to provide any of these items, please let me know.
Books/Programs
Students do not have a textbook for Algebra 2 Honors.
Students will not use i-Ready.
Students will still take the i-Ready diagnostic three times during the school year.
In place of i-Ready, students will use DeltaMath.
Students are expected to complete one weekly DeltaMath assignment, according to the schedule found on Schoology (or below).
The weekly assignments can be found in the "DeltaMath" folder on Schoology.
The name of each DeltaMath assignment will be month and week it was assigned (ex. “September Week 1 Assignment”).
Students will be given 20 minutes during 9th period on Mondays & Wednesdays to work toward completing their required weekly assignment.
Students will use Reflex.
Students will be given 20 minutes during 9th period on Fridays to work on Reflex.
