Math - Hummell
Welcome to Math with Mrs. Hummell!
About Me: This is my 24th year of teaching math, 19 years here at Eyer. I love teaching 7th Grade and try to make it FUN for everyone! When I'm not teaching, I love to be outside and with my family. I enjoy walking, biking, reading, and watching my kids in their sports & activities. Eyer is a wonderful place and I encourage you to get involved in the many clubs and activities we offer!
About Math Course 2:
In this course, we will be learning ratios and proportional relationships, the number system, expressions and equations, geometry, and statistics & probability.
I will post homework and announcements for assessments on our homework website.
Students are required to pass 2 I-Ready lessons per week Students take a diagnostic test in September to determine their current math level. Lessons are adapted to their level. The last week of each month is "catch-up" week so if students missed the 2 passed lessons per week they will have an opportunity to "catch-up" and earn points back. Students that completed the required weekly lessons will not have to do I-Ready during catch-up week.
About Algebra 1 Honors:
In this course, we will be learning all about Algebra! Everything from equations and inequalities to graphing and exponents will be covered. We will be preparing all year for the Algebra 1 Keystone exam in May.
I will post homework and announcements for assessments on our homework website.

We meet once a week after school until 3:45pm. Our school has done very well the past few years and we'd love to keep that going!
Please check out the Mathcounts website for challenge problems of the week and more practice.
