Lower Macungie Middle School
Maddie Kohutka is an eigth-grade teacher at Lower Macumgie Middle School on the All Stars team. She is a 2021 graduate of Cedar Crest College. During her four years, she had the opportunity to shadow at LMMS and Eyer Middle School, as well as student teach at Emmaus High School. This is her fourth year of teaching 8th grade math and her second year at LMMS, and she's looking forward to many more years of teaching to come!
After school, you can find Ms. Kohutka still talking about numbers at MathCounts meetings where she helps to prepare her Mathletes to represent the school in local, state, and national competitions. She also co-advises the Yearbook club, leading a creative group of students through the process of designing each page to commemorate their school year.
When she's not at school, Ms. Kohutka enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with her fiance and golden retriever, Thea.
