Meet Ms. Petcavage

My name is Kate Petcavage, and I am the elementary school counselor at Shoemaker Elementary School.  Although this is my third year working as a school counselor in the East Penn School District, I have over 13 years of experience working in the Lehigh Valley as an elementary school counselor.

As a dedicated and compassionate school counselor, my mission is to support the emotional, social, and academic growth of every student. I believe in creating a safe and nurturing environment where students can express themselves freely, build confidence, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.

As a coach for Girls on the Run and a gymnastics coach, I’ve had the privilege of working with young athletes to inspire them not just in sports, but in life. Whether it's teaching teamwork, perseverance, or the power of believing in yourself, I’m committed to making a positive impact.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two beagles, playing competitive tennis, exploring the outdoors, relaxing on the beach, and reading a good book!
