Hannah Melcher is a third grade teacher at Shoemaker Elementary School and grew up in Boyertown, PA. Mrs. Melcher earned her degree in education and psychology from Cedar Crest College and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a master's degree as a Reading Specialist from Kutztown University.
Mrs. Melcher discovered her passion for early childhood education while working at a daycare throughout high school and college. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Melcher enjoys spending time with her husband, who is her high school sweetheart, & their daughter, Hayley. Her family loves movie nights, listening to music, drawing, and long walks—especially with their three beloved dogs, Ichabod, Daisy, and Willy.

You can always email me with questions, but the best way to see what we're doing in class and if your child has assignments coming up is by getting connected on the following two programs!
This is my primary means of communication. I will send out weekly updates on Seesaw.
Students will receive digital assignments and assessments in Google Classroom.
Check out our Family Tech Resources Website! The purpose of this site is to provide both students and families of the East Penn School District resources on the technology they are using in the classroom. Some of the resources are created by East Penn, while others may be created by the companies themselves.
