Hello, and welcome to our classroom community! My name is Robyn DiStefano, and I’ll be your child’s teacher this year. I have been teaching for 15 years. This is my 3rd year in the East Penn School District and my 2nd year here at Shoemaker Elementary. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher and part of the amazing Shoemaker community. I love building classroom community and helping students develop a lifelong love of learning. I am very passionate about what I do and always strive to create an environment where your child feels safe, respected, loved, and encouraged!
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I have one sister and one brother and am the middle child. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was in kindergarten and could not imagine myself doing anything else. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Spanish concentration from Kutztown University in 2008 and my Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Teaching English Language Learners in 2016. I have taught in New Jersey, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. I live at home with my husband, two sons; Dominick (6) and Michael (3) and puppy, Tucker. I love spending time with my family and friends, being active; biking, swimming, and walking to name a few, relaxing, gardening, and trying new things!
I love mediterranean food!
