My name is Melanie Carwell and I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary School. I grew up in Emmaus and went to Jefferson Elementary. My passion to be a teacher started when I was in Kindergarten. As I grew up, teaching continued to be a love of mine. After high school, I went to Lancaster Bible College and received my BS degree in Elementary Education K-6. I taught Kindergarten at Rodale for 8 years before I became the Curriculum Specialist. After a few years in this role, I realized that I missed teaching and inspiring children to be lifetime learners. I taught second grade at Lincoln and this is my seventh year back in kindergarten. I am excited to start this school year and can't wait to build relationships with the students and families in my Kindergarten class!!
