I am originally from Ecuador. I am married, and my husband is also Ecuadorian. We have three children who are proudly bilingual. I have been teaching Spanish in the United States since 2017.
I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and solving puzzles. But above all, teaching my native language is my passion. It allows me to foster cross-generational and cross-cultural awareness, inspiring young students to appreciate the Spanish language, culture, and diversity. It is also important to me to empower Latino youth, helping them embrace their heritage and recognize the value of bilingualism.
Teaching Spanish also gives me the opportunity to share my own experience of learning a new language and immersing myself in a new culture. I often tell my students that I understand how they feel—starting from scratch, mumbling unfamiliar words, and struggling to understand. But I also know the joy and pride that come with progress—the moment when listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the target language no longer feel impossible.

You can always email me with questions, but the best way to see what we're doing in class and if your child has assignments coming up is by getting connected on Schoology. Please note that I am teaching throughout the day and will respond to emails as I am able during business hours. Thanks!
This is my primary platform for communication. I use it for announcements, coursework, and upcoming assignments. Grades are first entered in Schoology and then synced to PowerSchool.
This platform provides academic scores, attendance records, and student schedules.
