Meet Mrs. Horn
Welcome to our “Spectacular Superheroes” class! My name is Mrs. Horn, and I will be your second-grade teacher. Your year as a "Horn's Hero" will be a year of adventure and tremendous learning! I’m so excited to learn and grow with you in our second-grade year together at Alburtis Elementary School (AES)!
I implement a variety of academic and social-emotional programs to support your child in striving to reach his or her fullest potential in a safe, caring environment. The teamwork between students, parents, and teachers can have a tremendous impact on our students' learning and well-being. I look forward to collaborating with each of my students and their families throughout the year!
Outside of school, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our 13-year-old son, 10-year-old twins (a son and a daughter), as well as our dogs, Dove and Shadow. I love to read, travel, hike, and snuggle with my dogs.

We will have snack time (5 minutes) each day. Please bring one of the following "Fab 5 Snacks" to school each day: pretzels, goldfish, crackers, fruits or veggies. We have a NUT-free Classroom, so no nuts, please! Feel free to bring a water bottle, labeled with your name, to use each day.

Plastic toolbox
one 12-pack of SHARPENED pencils (USA-made sharpen best)
2 sets of headphones or earbuds (no Bluetooth)
5 glue sticks
1 box of 16 or 24 crayons
one 4-pack of black fine tip Expo Markers
1 clean sock (to use as an eraser)
