Hello, my name is Mrs. Megan Clee and I am thrilled to be one of your child's teachers this year! This will be my sixth year of teaching. I graduated from Moravian College and obtained my M.Ed. in Special Education from Lehigh University. I have my teaching certification in early childhood education and special education. My teaching career began as a special education teacher at Centennial School of Lehigh University where I wrote and implemented students' IEPs and positive behavior support plans, differentiated lessons, and collected and monitored data to meet the needs of my students. I am so excited for another school year at Shoemaker! Some of my favorite outdoor activities include hiking, fishing, and kayaking. Reading books and watching movies are other activities I do in my free time. When I am not outdoors, you can usually find me in the kitchen cooking and baking!
At the core of my educational philosophy is the importance of educating the whole-child, which means that I am dedicated to supporting and nurturing all areas of your child's development and learning. In order to effectively manage my classroom, I implement positive behavior supports to ensure our classroom is a safe place where all students can learn and grow. Our classroom will be a space where students are provided with what they each need to be successful and achieve their goals. Finally, and I believe most importantly, my goal this year is to develop a relationship with your child and with you. All of my efforts this year will be centered around helping your child, and I believe this will be meaningfully accomplished if relationships are established and cultivated. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year and I look forward to meeting you soon!
