I grew up in West Lawn, Pennsylvania, where I attended Holy Name High School. Upon completion of high school, I attended Bloomsburg University and Graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education - Mathematics. I obtained a Masters degree in Education from Wilkes University in 2011.
I was a three year letter-men on the Bloomsburg Huskies football team as well as a member of the Bloomsburg University Honors program. I taught 7th grade in the Muhlenberg School District from 2010-2013 where I was the head Junior High football and track coach. After the 2013 school year, I was named the "Muhl Teacher of the Year." I then had a great teaching experience teaching High School at Wilson, West Lawn, from 2013-2015 and wanted to get back into teaching Middle School which brought me to Eyer to start the 2015 School year. During the 2015-16 school year I was awarded the Keysetone Technology Innovator award for my use of technology in the classroom. From this group of 4,000 teachers who received the award, I was nominated as one of the top 100, earning the Keystone STAR award. Outside of the classroom I am a husband and father, a football and basketball coach for Emmaus. I recently had my third child and enjoy being a dad. I have an awesome little dog named Kobeyashe, and enjoy being outdoors with my wife and family. My most recent passion is mountain biking. What an adventure!
I consider myself a fan of math and I believe every student can learn to love the subject. I am very high energy and am known to always have a smile on my face, because I love what I do. I look forward to coming to school every day and am happy to be here, hoping to make an impact on every student I encounter.
