Below is a list of club and activity descriptions here at LMMS that don't have websites.

*Activities focus on cultural, historical, social, environmental aspects of German-speaking countries and peoples
*Meets monthly (usually first Tuesday or Thursday of the month) from October through May
*Highlights include Oktoberfest, Gingerbread House making Contest, making Fasching/Karneval masks!
*Any student in any grade may join!
*The Hive is our student store attached to the cafeteria. Students apply to work in the store to sell school supplies and LMMS paraphernalia during lunches.
*National Junior Honor Society is a national honors organization that students with excellent GPAs are invited to apply for in 7th and/or 8th grades. Students must have high grades, outstanding character, in-school and out-of-school activities, and submit a well-written essay for consideration. During the year, students participate in providing a wide variety of service hours to events at our school and beyond.
*Students meet to hone their sewing craft skills and create works to donate to local charities.
*Students can apply to be selected to represent their homerooms in a variety of fun and service events throughout the year, most notably Spirit Week in March!
*Students meet twice a month to read, watch, analyze, and discuss a wide variety of anime books, series, and movies.
*Tuesdays April 2nd to May 28th
*Club members will get a chance to create individual hand built clay projects and work on the pottery wheel.
*Club members must be able to attend all Tuesday meetings.

*Thursdays April 25- May 16
*Students will use a variety of painting techniques and brush strokes to complete a painting in acrylics.
*Taught by Mrs. Highet; See Mrs. West to sign up
*A small group of about 20 students meets every Tuesday after school from September through April. Students are responsible for creating and editing the yearbook. Students are also involved in collecting purchase orders from the student body.
*Students may apply next year if they want to get involved; more information will be provided at the start of next school year!
*Students meet in the Library 9th Period on Tuesdays from February to May to play 24. A tournament is held in April with our winners competing in a Regional Tournament in May.

*Students meet in the Library 9th period on Thursdays all year long to play Chess. All levels are welcome, and students are encouraged to play opponents of various levels.
*Students apply for the Challenge and are selected to work on a given goal with a given number and variety of K'Nex pieces. The group takes their solution to a Regional Competition in the late Spring.
*Students meet after school in the Library every other Tuesday to compete in Magic the Gathering. Students are encouraged, though certainly not required, to bring their own materials.
*Students meet in the Library 9th period on Tuesdays from September to February to work on fun math problems individually, in partners, in teams, and in speed-round style with hopes of making our team and competing at the Regional Competition in February.
*Students are selected to learn about and work on various elements of various vehicles throughout the year.
*Are you a gamer? Would you like to battle it out against opponents playing strategy games in which one false move could be your doom? Then sign up for the LMMS Strategy Games Club. We play a variety of games such as chess, Risk, Life, Stratego, Monopoly, Battleship, etc. Many students also like to bring in their favorite handheld devices to share and/or play strategy games with friends as well.
*The club begins usually in August or September and runs until the end of March. If you are interested, please see Mr. Miller in the Team Supreme area (room 417) to get more information.
*This unique club involves a small group of 7th and 8th grade students. Selections are made in the spring for the next year’s club. Students should stay tuned to Buzz TV in the spring for informational meetings and the application process. Traditionally, the club meets once per week on Mondays after school.
*In the fall, we are assigned to a local manufacturing facility. We visit the facility two times throughout the video production process to plan, coordinate, and create a 2 ½ minute informational video about the facility and “What’s So Cool” about it. We then work together with feedback and help from PBS to edit the video. In February, our video is posted online where we compete against the other middle schools in the Lehigh Valley for votes and for overall quality. In 2018, LMMS won “Best Editing.” In 2019, LMMS won “Best Overall Production.”
*Heart and Sole is a program that empowers young women to make solid decisions and develop leadership skills through being part of a running team. LMMS follows the curriculum distributed by Girls on The Run of the Lehigh Valley. The season opens in early March and end in May with a 5K held in the Parkway. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:00.
*Students head to up via coach bus to Blue Mountain at 2pm for six Thursdays in January and February. All levels are welcome - it is for fun!
*6th Grade Intramural Volleyball program runs after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays in February and March. Students create their own teams and sign-up for the program. Records are kept, culminating in a final Championship.
