*Students take care of our beautiful center courtyard, home to many colorful plants and feathered friends.
*Tuesdays after school
*Good vibes is a club for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders that promotes spreading positivity, gratitude, and good vibes to others, especially in our school and community.
*The Hive is our student store located in the cafeteria. Students can apply to work in the store which will be open 9th period and eventually during lunches. We sell school supplies, LMMS spirit wear, and snacks.
*The club welcomes students from all cultures to celebrate diversity in our school by promoting activities that encourage cultural awareness, acceptance, inclusion, and tolerance.
*Be ready to have fun and celebrate multiculturalism by sharing your heritage and where you are from, learning about celebrations around the world, playing international games, creating your unique heritage flag, reading fun international books, participating in Show and Tell Cultural Objects Day, watching clips of international movies, trying international foods, enjoying a world music dance party, and much more!

*Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month after school in Room 604.
*Any student in any grade may join—max of 30 students!
*National Junior Honor Society is a national honors organization that students with excellent GPAs are invited to apply for in 7th and/or 8th grades. Students must have high grades, outstanding character, in-school and out-of-school activities, and submit a well-written essay for consideration. During the year, students participate in providing a wide variety of service hours to events at our school and beyond.

The Positivity Project Club is a fun and welcoming space for middle school students to explore and celebrate the 24 character strengths that make us who we are. Club members will take part in activities, challenges, and projects that bring positivity to our school community—like creating shout-outs, designing bulletin boards, or leading kindness initiatives. Together, students will connect Positivity Project traits with our Hornet SHARP values (Successful, Helpful, Aware, Respectful, Proud) while building friendships, leadership skills, and school spirit. The Positivity Project Club is all about showing that “Other People Matter” and making every day a great day to be a Hornet!
*Student council is a group of students who aim to improve the school by communicating with teachers, peers, and administration. Student council members are the voice for their peers and work to grow school pride. They represent their grade level team and work hard to create fun school memories and activities.

*Join Mrs. Welsko on the 3rd Thursday of each month to participate in the Reading Olympics. Have fun hanging out with friends, discussing books, and playing trivia games based on this year's chosen reading list. We will meet from October to April and then compete against other schools to win the Gold. See Mrs. Welsko in or Mrs. Boulrice in the library for the complete list of books. You don't need to read them all, you just need to love reading! Space is limited, so sign up today!

*The yearbook captures everything that happens within a school year at LMMS. Staff members are responsible for creating and designing ALL of the pages and covers as well as taking pictures at various events. If you are creative, driven, work well independently and with others, we would love to have you on our staff! Meetings are Thursdays after school from 2:30 - 4; as we approach publishing time in early spring, we will begin meeting on Tuesdays after school as well. Signing up for Yearbook Club is a YEAR-LONG commitment!

*Students meet in the Library 9th Period on Tuesdays from February to May to play 24. A tournament is held in April with our winners competing in a Regional Tournament in May.

*Students meet in Room 408 during Lunches on announced days all year long to play Chess. All levels are welcome, and students are encouraged to play opponents of various levels.
*MathCounts is a club for those who love math, learning new math concepts and topics, and friendly competition. Students meet in Room 615 after school on Tuesdays from September to February to work on fun math problems individually, in partners, in teams, and in speed-round style with hopes of making our team and competing at the Regional Competition in February. Sign up by joining our Schoology page (Course Code: 7SX3-WPM2-RKQ4V) - our first meeting date will be announced there.
*Students interested in traveling to Crystal River, Florida, June 23-27, 2025, should reach out to Ms. Schaeffer or Mr. Scholl to learn more information and cost. Students will swim with manatees, complete a ropes course, kayak, explore a cave, and complete a service project. Students do need to receive a teacher recommendation to participate in this club. Only students accepted to travel will attend any announced meetings. No applications will be accepted after October 25, 2024.
*This unique club involves a small group of 7th and 8th grade students. Selections are made in the spring for the next year’s club. Students should stay tuned to Buzz TV in the spring for informational meetings and the application process. Traditionally, the club meets once per week on Tuesdays or Thursdays after school.
*In the fall, we are assigned to a local manufacturing facility. We visit the facility two times throughout the video production process to plan, coordinate, and create a 2 ½ minute informational video about the facility and “What’s So Cool” about it. We then work together with feedback and help from PBS to edit the video. In February, our video is posted online where we compete against the other middle schools in the Lehigh Valley for votes and for overall quality. In 2023, LMMS won “Best Overall Production" for the Lehigh Valley for our video featuring B. Braun.

*Heart and Sole is a program that empowers young women to make solid decisions and develop leadership skills through being part of a running team. LMMS follows the curriculum distributed by Girls on The Run of the Lehigh Valley. The season opens in early March and ends in May with a 5K held at DeSales University. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:00.
*Students head to up via coach bus to Blue Mountain at 2pm for six Thursdays in January and February. All levels are welcome - it is for fun!
