About the Course
Students learn about various aspects of civil engineering and architecture and apply their knowledge to the design and development of residential and commercial properties and structures. In addition, students use 3D design software to design and document solutions for major course projects.

Residential Design
Residential Design
The first half of the course focuses on residential design and engineering concepts. Students design their own two-bedroom house for Habitat for Humanity following all the design elements and building codes that we discussed the first few months.
Commercial Design
Commercial Design
The second half of the course focuses on commercial engineering concepts. Students take an exiting structure, (old factory) and design a new building that would be a benefit to the nearby community.
