Meet Mrs. Thomas

I am in my third year as Jefferson's Instructional Specialist. Prior to being a member of the Jefferson team, I taught second grade for two years in the Pleasant Valley School District and 18 years teaching second grade for EPSD at Macungie Elementary School. I am a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a dual major in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I have one Master's Degree in Educational Strategies and a second Master's in Classroom Technology. I continue my love of learning in the educational field by reading many books related to the latest research in education and instructional practices. 

Outside of Jefferson Elementary, I love spending time with my husband Wade, our two girls, Madelyn (12) and Avery (10), and our pug puppy, Pearl. We keep busy in the activities our girls love, dance, field hockey, and softball. 

When not at school, I enjoy being around the people I love the most, my family and friends. I enjoy walking, reading books, movies, and shopping!
