The safety of our students, staff, and their families remains our number one priority. As a result, you’ll notice changes to our procedures from years past the moment you arrive each morning.
While student drop-off used to take place on Elm Street every day, we have now established a traffic circle within our new parking lot on North Street. Beginning at 8:45 AM each morning, staff members will greet students and families in this lot and facilitate a drop-off that is both safe and adheres to social distancing guidelines. When you arrive, please follow the signs posted and any directions provided by staff members present. For the safety of everyone involved, only students may exit vehicles, and they must open and close their own car doors. Additionally, please wait for any vehicles in front of you to depart before pulling forward, and never drive around other vehicles.
We’ll employ a similar procedure for dismissal, utilizing the same traffic circle in our North Street lot starting at 2:15 PM every afternoon. Again, please follow the signs posted and the directions of staff members present, and remain in your vehicles at all times. On the first day of school, each student will receive two personalized signs, one to immediately place on the passenger side of your dashboard and one extra should you need it. These signs will contain your child’s name and must be clearly visible to supervising staff members in order to facilitate a dismissal routine that’s as safe, contactless, and efficient as possible. If you need additional signs at any time for other family members or friends who may be picking up your child throughout the year, please contact our main office.
