Hey LMMS!
Unity Day was last Friday. What did you wear for unity day? Did you enjoy the sticky note comments? I sure hope you did because today I'm going to do a sort of recap of Unity Day!
What is Unity Day?
According to Google, “Unity Day is an annual event celebrated on the third Wednesday of October to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to take a stand against bullying.” In other words, Unity Day is a day to accept everyone, be kind, and stand up to bullies! According to Mrs. Freeman’s post on Schoology, "LMMS makes encouraging words or affirmations, positive quotes or song lyrics that celebrate kindness or inclusion, or a message to someone who made you feel welcome or acted kindly toward others."
What did we do?
We made a post it wall with lots of good messages to help the people, and we also wore orange.
The goal of this day is to carry it on to daily life, so pass on kindness and make sure to give nice comments!
