Emmaus High School
I graduated from Kutztown University in 2014 with a BSEd with a concentration in Biology. Before coming to East Penn SD in 2017, I taught in Central Bucks SD and Methacton SD, earning my MEd in Curriculum and Instruction in 2017. I have since taught various science courses: Honors Biology, Biology I, Global Science Inquiry, Environmental Science, and most recently Botany. I help to run a few of our science-related clubs, such as Envirothon, Green Thumb Club, and Science Fair. In addition, I've chaperoned student trips to National Parks in Alaska and Colorado.
I am also the 9th-grade science teacher for the Jasper Learning Initiative, a project-based program within Emmaus High School that maintains a focus on authentic, meaningful, and student-driven projects which work closely with the local community. You may see us running sustainable candle-making labs at the high school or planting native flora with our local conservation organizations. If you want to learn more, please see our program's website.
In my free time, I love to travel, camp, hike, kayak, and generally enjoy being outdoors. I also enjoy reading a good fantasy book, playing video games, and various artistic pursuits (none of which I would be proud to show off).
Check out our Family Tech Resources Website! The purpose of this site is to provide both students and families of the East Penn School District resources on the technology they are using in the classroom. Some of the resources are created by East Penn, while others may be created by the companies themselves.
