I completed my BS in Health and Physical Education at Lock Haven University in 1998. I also have my M.S. in Health Education from Penn State, which I completed in 2003, and my M.S. in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from Wilkes University, which I completed in 2012.
My teaching career started in the West Shore School District in 1999, where I taught middle and elementary health and physical education. In 2005, I became a member of the elementary Health, Wellness, and Fitness teaching staff in the East Penn School District. Prior to teaching at the Lower Macungie Middle School, I taught health and physical education at Macungie, Shoemaker, Lower Macungie Elementary (Kindergarten Center) and Jefferson.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two sons, Taylor and Kendall, and we also have a turtle named Lily and a dog named Atticus. Throughout the year, I spend my time cheering on my sons while they participate in football and lacrosse, as well as serving as the booster club president for the football and lacrosse teams.. During our free time in the fall, we are usually found cheering on the Nittany Lions. I enjoy running and training for different events. Recently, I completed Tough Mudder, a sprint triathlon and a 15k trail race. I also enjoy volunteering with Girls on the Run.
