Grading Categories

Students are given projects, quizzes, and tests to illustrate their mastery of topics. All of these are grouped into the skills assessment category. The category is weighted for 80% of their overall grade. Late projects can be made up for partial credit. Students are allowed a total of three retakes over the school year.

Students are given graded classwork and homework assignments. Daily assignments and agendas can be found on Schoology and on the class calendar. The work completion category is weighted for 10% of their overall grade. The homework category is weighted for 10% of their overall grade. Late assignments can be made up for partial credit.

Students are expected to pass 2 iReady lessons a week. They must score a 65% or higher to pass the lesson. They can complete green or blue path lessons. On the last week of the month there is an iReady Make Up Week. This week students can make up any missed lessons that were not done in past weeks; however, they need to complete one extra lesson as well to get full credit on the made up lessons. The iReady category is weighted for 10% of their overall grade.
