Bruce Mason
Instrumental Music Teacher & 6th Grade Band Director
Bruce Mason was nominated for the profound impact he has made over his 28 years as a music educator in the Easton Area School District. With a deep commitment to his 6th Grade Band, Bruce has played a vital role in building and sustaining a strong, student-centered music program—supported by collaboration with administration, families, and colleagues.
He exemplifies all six Portrait of a Graduate competencies in his daily work. Bruce is an empathetic citizen and collaborative teammate, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for students and staff alike. As a resilient learner and innovative educator, he continuously adapts his teaching to meet the needs of his students, igniting a lifelong passion for music. He is a clear and compassionate communicator, and a creative problem solver—even finding quick solutions in the middle of a live performance.
Bruce’s unwavering dedication is reflected in the remarkable growth and achievements of his students, the continued success of the music program, and the musical development of his own children. Leila, a local entrepreneur and Easton graduate, returns to EAHS as a guest speaker to inspire students at an FBLA leadership event.

A former student and lifelong go-getter, Leila now leads a successful, female-owned construction company where she models what it means to be an innovative and resilient entrepreneur.
Deeply committed to giving back, Leila exemplifies the Portrait of a Graduate competencies through her actions. She is an empathetic citizen who actively engages with the community—volunteering her time to sponsor events, support local programs, and sit on the Career and Technical Program of Study Local Advisory Board. As a communicator and collaborator, she frequently returns to the classroom to share her insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, and the transition from college to career, inspiring the next generation of students.
Leila’s generosity, reliability, and drive make her a role model for students and educators alike. Whether serving as a judge for the Regional FBLA competition or mentoring future leaders, she is always ready to step in and make a difference.
