The EASD Technology Department created Managed Apple IDs for instructors and students to use for educational purposes. Managed Apple IDs are unique to your institution and separate from Apple IDs that you can create for yourself. Your Managed Apple ID is associated with the EASD domain (eastonsd.org or roverkids.org). Unlike personal Apple IDs, IT administrators manage the services that your Managed Apple ID can access. Managed Apple IDs also include 200GB of iCloud storage.
Information about Apple IDs was taken from this site.Students in the Easton Area School District are assigned roverkids.org addresses. Email can only be sent between members of our domain (eastonsd.org or roverkids.org) for educational purposes. All communication and usage of the roverkids.org account is subject to any associated board policies.
Information about the G Suite for Education was taken from this site. The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) was enacted by Congress in 2000 to address concerns about children's access to obscene or harmful content over the Internet. CIPA imposes certain requirements on schools or libraries that receive discounts for Internet access or internal connections through the E-rate program – a program that makes certain communications services and products more affordable for eligible schools and libraries. In early 2001, the FCC issued rules implementing CIPA and provided updates to those rules in 2011.
Google doesn’t assume ownership of any customer data in G Suite core services, and it says so in our contracts (under “Intellectual Property”).
