Since its founding in 1967, the East Lincoln High School Band Program has stood as a cornerstone of musical excellence and school spirit in the Denver, North Carolina community. Over nearly six decades, the program has evolved into a respected and dynamic organization encompassing concert bands, jazz ensembles, winter guard, and the award-winning “Showband of the Carolinas.”
While our roots run deep in music education, the East Lincoln Band is committed to teaching far more than just notes and rhythms. We take great PRIDE in shaping well-rounded individuals who are prepared for success in every aspect of life. Our goal is to equip each student not only with musical excellence, but also with the values and life skills that foster leadership, responsibility, and meaningful contribution to their community.
At the heart of our program is PRIDE—Passion, Respect, Intensity, Dedication, and Emotion—a guiding framework that drives everything we do. These principles inspire our students to strive for excellence, support one another, and carry themselves with integrity both on and off the field. In the East Lincoln Band, character development is just as important as musical achievement—because we believe the true measure of success is who you become in the process.
