Welcome

Hello, I am Shonda Wright. I am a teacher in the Dyslexia Program here at Siebert. I graduated from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX, in 1991 with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading Specialization. I was certified in Reading Recovery and have taught reading for 20 years as well as years of experience in the regular classroom at the 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade levels. I have a wonderful husband, Mark of 31 years this December!!!!- and who is also a graduate of WTAMU. We have 2 daughters, Samantha age 29 who is married to Austin Conger (both graduates from Hardin-Simmons Univ. and are the parents of our first grandson, Creede Owen Conger); Morgan, age 26, who is a graduate from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center's Nursing Program and is an RN in the NICU at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, TX, and married to Leif Johnston from Albany who graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, and is the head basketball coach and quarterback coach at Central Texas Christian School in Temple; and last but not least 1 son, Mason age 20, who is helping manage a ranch in Iredell, TX full time while taking college classes online pursuing a degree in wildlife and ranch management. We are a very close family and value our time together. Our hobbies consist of camping, hunting, fishing and enjoying all sports.
