Welcome

Hello! My name is Mae Rackow, and I teach 6th grade reading.

I am a graduate of Tarleton State University. I hold a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Reading Specialization 1st through 8th grade, Secondary Speech Certification, and Early Childhood Endorsement. I have taught at Eastland Middle School for 22 years.

In my class students focus on higher level reading materials in order to master individual skills. We read everything from books and Internet articles to newspapers and poetry.
