About FCCLA

Eastland High School has a chapter affiliation with the student lead organization Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Their goal is to prepare our students for the future. FCCLA provides students with the knowledge and training to become leaders in their community and very good ones at that. Our FCCLA students participate in competitive events known as “STAR Events”, in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation. The competitions start on a Regional level and students can advance all the way to the National level. These competitions give our students the opportunity to show the world how knowledgeable and professional they really are. There are several different STAR Events for our students to choose from like parliamentary procedure, entrepreneurship, fashion design, career investigation, leadership, and job interview, just to name a few.

As part of our fundraising for supplies to make the projects and for travel expenses to go to competitions, we cater events in town. We operate a full catering service that is ran out of the Culinary Arts classroom at the high school. Not only does it give the students funding for their trips, it also provides them with good life experiences. Our students do a fantastic job and have lots of fun while doing it.
