Hello!! I'm Mrs. DiCarlo and I am very excited to be your 4th grade teacher this year! This will be my 19th year teaching at Samuel Mickle School and my 12th year teaching 4th grade. A little about me... I'm originally from upstate New York and I moved to New Jersey in 2005 where I live in Mullica Hill with my wonderful husband, our amazing daughter (Ava-12) and our loveable Golden Retrievers, Belle and Minnie. First and foremost, I love being a mom and a teacher! I also enjoy being at our shore house, spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, walking our dogs, shopping, and I love watching Philly sports with my husband (although since I'm from NY, deep down I’m a true blue Yankees fan ;)

My goal is to help you to have a positive learning experience throughout the year. I believe in patience, flexibility, respect and communication in order to have a productive learning environment. Our classroom will focus on strengths and building each other up, being kind, supportive and celebrating learning and growth. It's OK to make mistakes because they help us to be successful if we learn from them. I value open communication between school and home. I will keep in contact with you concerning the events in the classroom and concerning academic gains and/or challenges for your child.
