Afrin joined the Access Academy at East Delta University as a Lecturer at the beginning of 2023. Her primary teaching responsibilities are Academic Reading and Writing for first-year students and Student Development Seminars. In addition to her teaching duties, she actively contributes to EDU's Academic Clinic Support program.

Before joining East Delta University, Afrin completed an internship at The City Bank Limited. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a major in Accounting from East Delta University, Chattogram, Bangladesh, where she graduated with honors, earning the distinction of Summa Cum Laude. Her undergraduate studies also focused on Accounting, with a minor in Finance.

Afrin's research interests include the impact of emerging technologies on the accounting industry, the application of accounting software, and the implications of fraudulent financial statements.
