Ripa Ghosh, a young instructor, joined the Access Academy program at East Delta University in October 2024. She teaches AA099 (Academic Reading & Writing) and AA200 (Student Development Seminar) as part of her main courses in the Access academy. Additionally, she is actively engaged in EDU's Academic Clinic Support to help students improve their academic skills. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a magna cum laude honors from the Asian University for Women, with a double minor in Finance and Development Studies. Ripa’s professional journey has been shaped by diverse experiences. She began as an intern at HSBC, later contributing to community-focused initiatives at Nymphea and working over 1.5 years at the Mai Soli Foundation, where she empowered young schoolgirls and fought against child marriage. She also worked as a teaching assistant for Dr Suparna Das, the Director of Economics at AUW, in her labor Economics course. She also earned accreditation from Harvard Business School through the "Credential of Readiness" program. Her research interest includes women’s empowerment, gender equality, economic inequality and the transformative power of education in marginalized communities.
