POLICY ACTIVISM

Policy activism refers to the active engagement of individuals or groups in advocating for, influencing, and shaping public policies to address social issues and promote positive change. Universities play a crucial role in policy activism as they serve as hubs of knowledge, research, and intellectual discourse. Academic institutions are not only spaces for the generation and dissemination of knowledge but also platforms for fostering critical thinking and civic engagement. The role of universities in policy activism extends beyond the traditional boundaries of education, as they become catalysts for social transformation.

East Delta University aims to establish spaces for open dialogue and discussion, bringing together diverse perspectives on social and political issues. This diversity enriches the policy activism landscape by ensuring that a wide range of voices are heard, leading to more inclusive and comprehensive policy proposals. Our Policy students, as the future leaders and change-makers, are often at the forefront of policy activism on campuses, organizing events, campaigns, and initiatives that address pressing societal challenges.

We intend to contribute to policy activism by generating knowledge, fostering critical thinking, and creating spaces for open discourse. Our role goes beyond academia, empowering individuals to actively participate in shaping policies that have a lasting impact on society.
