Nuzhat Nastareen is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at East Delta University (EDU), Chattogram, Bangladesh. She holds both BSS and MSS degrees in economics from the University of Dhaka, where she developed a strong foundation in economic theory, policy analysis, and development studies.
Right after completing her postgraduate studies, she began her professional career in 2023, working in applied research within the development and public health sectors. Her work involves research design, data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and evidence generation for policy-relevant initiatives aimed at strengthening health systems and informing development policy in Bangladesh.
At East Delta University, she teaches core undergraduate economics courses covering areas such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and monetary economics, with additional emphasis on development economics, international trade, and policy analysis.
Her broader academic interests include development economics, international trade, policy analysis, and health-related economic issues. Through her teaching and research, she remains committed to advancing knowledge and contributing to evidence-based policymaking and sustainable development.
