Abu M Hanif currently serves as a Lecturer and Coordinator in the Department of Economics at East Delta University (EDU), Chattogram, Bangladesh. He holds a BSS (Honors) and MSS in Economics and Banking from the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC), where he was awarded the prestigious Chancellor Gold Medal for outstanding academic excellence. Continuing his advanced studies, Mr. Hanif earned a Master’s in Governance and Development Studies from Jahangirnagar University (JU) with distinction and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Economics (Research) at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), affiliated with the University of Dhaka (DU), fully funded by the Ministry of Planning, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
His primary research interests encompass environmental and resource economics, governance, inclusive growth, and development economics, with several research articles published in peer-reviewed international journals. Beyond his research contributions, Mr. Hanif is actively involved in departmental administration, curriculum coordination, and academic mentorship.
