JA Launch Pad is a learning experience that introduces kindergarten students to career exploration and employability skills. Through hands-on classroom activities the program provides students with an introduction to personal economics, knowledge of how personal skills and interests can relate to a successful career, and how goods and services can lead to earning money.
JA Virtual Career Exploration Fair is an event where students learn about a range of career options across multiple career clusters. Volunteers share information about their businesses and/or jobs in a recorded video. Each career speaker will prepare a "show and tell" presentation according to the guidelines JA has provided.
In JA Career Speaker Series, a volunteer guest speaker visits the classroom and shares information about his or her career, work, and education experience. The speaker may bring props, work samples, or other visuals to help engage students.
Following participation in the learning experience, students will be able to:
-- Identify skills and interests.
-- Recognize career clusters.
-- Practice active listening skills.
