A time series visualization app for Sentinel-2 and Landsat 8. The app shows image chips and a spectral-temporal profile with RGB observation color. Click any terrestrial point to display observations for up to the previous 2 years.
Generates wind trajectory maps and animations from ECMWF ERA-5 hourly wind data for the Netherlands and Belgium. Each frame is the distance traveled by a particle carried on the wind over 15 minutes, given the hourly wind speed and direction for the start of the time segment.
A Colab notebook that uses the Earth Engine Python API to fetch climate and spectral time series data from Earth Engine and plot it using Altair.
With a 1-10 minute imaging cadence (depending on product) and a 10-40 minute latency to availability in Earth Engine, GOES 16 and 17 are useful for monitoring storms and wildfires in near-real time. The script below gives three different visual representations of the Creek Fire (California) on September 5th, 2020.
The JRC Yearly Water Classification History dataset is an amazing record of 30+ years of terrestrial water extent. Use the Global Surface Water Explorer App to visualize how river course and lake extent have changed over time.
