My Maps

Overview

Google My Maps is a free user friendly, versatile mapping tool that can be used to create maps to embedded in your website or to view and edited on your Android device in the field. It is a collaborative platform that allows you to create and share maps with your colleagues. You can access My Maps through Google Drive, which means that you can easily organize your projects and manage sharing permissions.

You can add content to your map by individually adding points, lines and polygons, or you can import spreadsheets and KML files. You have up to 10 layers and 5MB per layer. You can also add photos, YouTube videos, links and text to the map icons.
