Class Policy

In Ms. Michelsen's class, students are expected to be leaders over their actions, words, and school work. Our classroom and school expectations are as follows:

RESPECTFUL: I participate and follow directions.

INCLUSIVE: I am kind to everyone.

SAFE: I keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself.

ENGAGED: I do my best work.

• Please have your child bring a water bottle (labeled) to keep at their desk. Be sure that water bottles are leak proof,

• Label your jackets and coats for your child. Many go missing and it is hard for them to be found without a label. 

• I do not allow children to bring toys from home into the classroom unless I have previously notified the parents.

• If your student is wearing shoes with laces, please make sure they know how to tie their shoes.

• Please guide your child about the school’s lunch options to assure he/she chooses the correct lunch.

• Make sure your child brings snacks everyday.

Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday and should be returned on Friday to be graded. It is designed to reinforce what we are learning in class. Homework will begin by mid-October.
