In B Building, all of 5th and 6th grade students are expected to follow the school rules:

• Respect themselves, others, and property

• Keep hands, feet and objects to themselves

• Be on time and engaged in learning

• Refrain from foul language, aggression, vandalism and violence

• Listen in class without blurting, talking over the teacher, or disrupting learning by talking at inappropriate times and distracting other students in the class

When these rules are broken, students will:

1. Receive a warning from the teacher

2. If the behavior is repeated again, the student will then expect to have a hallway chat with the teacher

3. If behavior continues, students will be expected to fill in a "Think Sheet" in another room. This may or may not be required to be signed by parents/guardians

4. If behavior continues, parents will be contacted, Think Sheet will be sent home and signed, and the principal or vice principal may be called, if appropriate

5. If the behavior is particularly egregious, some or all of these steps may be skipped. If the behavior continues after this point, school administration will decide on the next steps, which could result in suspensions or expulsions.
