This is only a brief overview of the school's dress code. For all the details of the dress code, you can look in the school's handbook (link found below).
Corrective Actions:
● 1st Violation- Parent communication, change of clothes requested
● 2nd Violation- Parent communication, change of clothes required
● 3rd Violation- Parent communication, change of clothes required, Lunch detention
● 4th Violation- Parent communication, change of clothes required, corrective action may include in or out of school suspension.
○ Continued violations of school policies may lead to expulsion.
Shirts have to be a solid color collared in one of the approved colors seen below. You may have a solid colored long-sleeved shirt beneith your collared shirt; however, it must be one solid color. The shirt under does not have to be one of the colors below.
On Spirit Dress days (Fridays) students may wear a non collared school shirt. It could be a previous years class shirt or a PEAK ELA shirt.
All sweatshirts must be a solid color and one of the colors below. They can also wear a PEAK ELA hoodie.
On Spirit Dress Days (Fridays)- Students can wear ELA sponsored hoodies. For example, if your student is in a school play, they can wear the sweatshirt on Fridays.
All pants must be one of the colors below. Jeans are only allowed on Free Dress days and Spirit Dress days. Shorts and skirts must come to mid-thigh while your student is seated. Ripped jeans, sweat pants, and leggings are all against the dress code and your student will be asked to change if they are wearing them; however, leggings may be worn under dress code approved skirts.
Close toed shoes are appropriate. Any flip flops and sandals are not permitted in the dress code.
Smart watches and other electronics are not allowed on durinng the school day. If a student has one on, I will ask them to put it in their backpacks. If it is seen on again that day, I will take it until the end of the day. If the problem persists, a parent will have to pick it up at the office.
