๐ Reading Focus: Expository Text
We are diving into the world of poetry. We will be reading free-verse poetry, narrative poems, and haikus. We work on creating our own acrostic poems. We will also focus on theme and imagery in poems. All while thinking about how others can inspire us.ย
This week in writing we are creating an expository essay based on two stories from our Wonders curriculum. Students will have to have a topic sentence, supporting details and a strong conclusion to help in supporting the topic of how firefighters have certain traits and skills to do their job.
