Choir

 I am so excited to announce that ELA will have a 2 elementary CHOIRS this year! We will have a 4th Grade Choir and a 5th-6th Grade Combined Choir.  In January we will combine both groups to form an HONOR CHOIR. Choir is open to all 4th  through 6th grade students. I am thrilled to be able to offer an after school elementary choir experience for the students at ELA.  I have taught choirs from grades 3-12 in both Utah and Idaho for 19 years and I love it! I am so excited to share beautiful music with the students at ELA! 

Weekly Rehearsals

·  The 5th and 6th grade combined choir will rehearse weekly on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:00pm in the music room #328 in Bldg. B.

·  The 4th Grade introductory choir will rehearse weekly on Thursdays from 3:15-4:00pm in the music room #328 in Bldg. B.

·  Choir will begin after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 9th.

·  On December 18th, we will hold auditions for all choir members that would like to continue with the choir to form a 4th-6th grade Honor Choir.  The Honor Choir will rehearse on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15pm beginning on January 6th and will rehearse weekly until the end of the school year.

Fees and Equipment

There will be a $50 fee for the entire year to participate in Choir. This will cover all of the costs for the Choir such as music copyrights and choir performance vest rentals as well as provide a Choir T-shirt for every student.

·  You can pay the office or you can pay online. Mrs. Hickenlooper will not handle money

•  Just go to the ELA website, click on payments, school fees, then under elective course fees K-9 enter the dollar amount in after school activities and clubs.  When you have entered a dollar amount, a window will pop up to add a description, and you will write Elementary Choir. OR click HERE to go directly to the payments page.

 November 11th Veterans Day Assembly 8:45am, 9:45am, 10:45am

December 9th and 11th Caroling Activity (3:15-4:30pm)

December 16th Christmas Choir Concert (7:00pm)

December 18th Choir Auditions (3:15pm-5:00pm)

March 24th Combined Choir Concert with JH (6:00 and 7:00pm)

May 12th End of year Choir Concert (7:00pm)

May 15th Performance for the School (9:00am)

      May 19th End of Year Party and Awards (3:15-4:30pm)

Choir Sign Up 2025-2026 and fill out the google form.  Registration will close on September 7th.  After registration is complete I will send out a choir agreement that both parents and students will need to sign to participate in the choir.  Please watch for that!
