Pendarren Adventures
Day 4
The sun finally appeared for our last full day in Wales. Group 1 stayed at Pendarren House this morning to conquer the climbing wall and whizz down the zip line. In the afternoon they went on an adventure walk through an abandoned train tunnel. Group 2 followed the opposite activity pattern of adventure walk followed by the climbing wall and the zip line. Group 3 and 4 spent the morning climbing two different local mountains followed by adventure walks in the afternoon.
This evening Year 6 enjoyed some time around a camp fire to reflect on their week away with each other. They thought about things they had learnt about themselves over the week. Everyone was able to think of something and we enjoyed hearing each other's thoughts.
Our week away has fantastic. We have had an amazing time!
We hope you have enjoyed sharing our adventures too.

Day 3
It was another fun-filled day in Wales for Year 6. Group 1 and 2 travelled to the coast to explore the rock pools and coastline. They had a great day and were lucky enough to spot seals swimming in the sea on their walk to Caswell Bay.
Groups 3 and 4 stayed closer to Pendarren house and took part in an orienteering challenge and went canoeing.
In the evening, we all came back together to play games and relax after a day of exploring.

Day 1
After an early start and with a coach full of excited Year 6 children we finally arrived in Wales. As soon as we saw the sign saying 'Welcome to Wales' there was a round of applause from everyone on the coach. After we had unloaded the coach we split into our activity groups and quickly got involved with Pendarren life (after lunch of course!).
We all took part in 'croeso', croeso means welcome in Welsh. We felt very welcome straight away and got stuck in to some team building games. Everyone was enjoying getting to know the people in their groups and worked really well in their teams to meet the challenges. We had lots of fun together and a little bit of rain didn't dampen our spirits.
